About The Team:
Noah Medical’s Research and Development (R&D) Team is responsible for the development of endoluminal medical device solutions that are safe, effective, and on-time. We are a dynamic, data driven team and pride ourselves on our creative and collaborative approach to problem solving. We continuously strive for win-win solutions that our customers love. Noah Medical R&D team members have the traditional role of design and prototyping but also take the lead on design requirements, specifications, design risk assessment, test methods, verification testing and more. R&D also plays a critical cross functional role in support through production and even field reliability. We are looking for curious, collaborative, energetic problem solvers who enjoy a challenge. A Day In The Life Of Our Sr. Staff R&D Mechanical Engineer, Capital:
- Provide day-to-day leadership for a key subsystem of the capital equipment team to develop safe and effective medical devices
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to propose viable technical solutions and make decisions
- Plan, organize, and present project deliverables according to project scope and timeline and ensure technical contributions are delivered on time
- Mentor other engineers
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors, identify scopes of work, and manage inputs and outputs.
- Participate in developing the budget for the specific area of responsibility
- Lead the resolution of technical issues where root cause analysis requires in-depth evaluations from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
- Conduct tolerance analysis to ensure design robustness
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact the overall product design and performance
- Generate and review technical documentation including design-controlled specifications, requirements, protocols, etc.
- Develop and ensure compliance with departmental procedures relating to design control processes, quality systems and regulations, and good documentation practices
About You:
- 10+ years of experience as an individual contributor in the area of technical leadership, including at least 5 years of medical device capital equipment experience
- Experienced in the product development process of medical device capital systems
- Proficient in using Solidworks for design of components and creating complex assemblies and detailed drawings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead self and others in the execution of technical projects
- Proactive planning and consistent follow up behaviors
- You are eager to own a key subsystem of our robotic system.
- You think about how to manufacture, assemble, and test your designs.
- You know how to pull together cross functional stakeholders, capture requirements, and drive to a design decision.
- You enjoy working in a start up environment and can handle uncertainty, while helping the program adjust as we go along.
- You know when to pull together a trade off analysis to help the group make the right decision.
- You can clearly articulate what you did, why you did it, and what it means we do next.
- You see out information from other teams and can facilitate respectful debate to get us to the right answer.
- You are hands-on and take pride in owning your work through design, build, and test.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location of the posted role. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed based on candidate experience level and/or specialized skills. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.
