A Day In The Life Of Our Launch Specialist:
The Launch Specialist is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation and support of surgical robotic systems at healthcare facilities. This role includes executing critical pre-launch and post-launch activities such as in-service training, dry runs, case support, and clinical reviews. Additionally, the Launch Specialist provides direct product support, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and plays an integral role in training healthcare professionals. This position requires adherence to SOPs, traveling to client sites, and handing off post-launch activities to local Clinical Sales Representatives (CSRs).
- Launch Execution:
- Execute in-service training, dry run sessions, case support, KPI collection and clinical reviews during new account and customer launches
- Introduce and support physicians and staff through the Galaxy Pathway to Proficiency.
- Execute onsite activities and tasks in line with the launch SOP, task list and timeline.
- Product Support:
- Provide product expertise, technical support and troubleshooting during Galaxy procedures.
- Provide consistent coaching and feedback in line with the Galaxy Pathway to Proficiency.
- Collaborate with Clinical Sales Representatives to deliver an excellent customer onboarding experience.
- Pre & Post Procedure Customer Management
- Participate in daily procedure debriefs and weekly clinical reviews to support progress through the Pathway to Proficiency; share key insights as informed by collected KPIs.
- Assist in the planning and execution of mock procedures, simulating real-world scenarios for training purposes
- Process Adherence & Handoff:
- Ensure all launch activities are executed in compliance with SOPs and update task lists accordingly.
- Conduct a seamless post-launch handoff to the local CSR, ensuring all relevant information is shared for ongoing support.
- Cross-functional Support:
- Capture and share customer feedback with product and engineering teams.
- Provide support to cross-functional teams during the launch process and assist with additional needs as required.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in internal training programs and continuous learning opportunities to expand knowledge of medical devices, procedures, and sales techniques.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years sales experience, medical device preferred.
- Experience and comfort selling in a clinical setting.
- Ability to develop expertise and demonstrate credibility quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/accounts simultaneously
- Ability to effectively utilize a CRM to manage and track progress against strategic priorities.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to successfully pass a check of a driver's record.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%, or 3 weeks per month, to support client site activities and customer implementations.
Preferred
- Experience supporting physicians through the learning curve with a technical product or procedure.
- Experience with pulmonary, thoracic oncology, radiology and endoscopy procedures and call points.
- Program and/or market development experience.
- Early commercial/startup experience.
