About The Team:
The Robotics and Controls Team at Noah Medical is dedicated to the development and implementation of safe and high quality control algorithms and software. Comprising seasoned engineers with backgrounds in healthcare and other safety-critical industries, we collaborate with clinical, product, and hardware design teams to deliver user-centric solutions. A Day In The Life Of Our Robotics and Controls Engineer:
- Designs and implements control algorithms that govern robot behavior
- Translate clinical user needs into hardware and control system specifications.
- Develop and maintain production control software and unit tests in C++
- Designs and executes experiments to evaluate control system functionality including scripting in Python
- Evaluate control system performance and software features in clinical lab settings.
- Collaborate with the product development team to create a safe, effective medical product
- Diagnose and debug software issues throughout multiple domains including motion control and real time performance
- Contributes to risk analysis, requirements and documentation of a medical product.
About You:
- Earned an M.S. degree with 1 year of relevant working experience or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Controls, Robotics or related Engineering discipline with an emphasis on robotics.
- Proven theoretical and practical experience in one or more of: robot manipulator kinematics, dynamics, feedback control, sensors and actuators.
- Experience with controls system development, modeling and implementation on hardware systems.
- Familiarity with position, velocity, torque and current control.
- Strong development skills in modern C++
- Experience with software design patterns including state machines.
- Experience with building test automation and analysis tools in Python
- Works independently and is determined to solve challenging problems.
- Communicates effectively by providing concise explanations of complex concepts
- Empowers other team members through documentation to learn from and build upon their work

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Consistent with applicable laws, an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education, skills, job-related knowledge, qualifications, work experience, credentials, and/or geographic location of the posted role. Noah Medical reserves the right to modify this range as needed based on candidate experience level and/or specialized skills. Please note that the aforementioned range is only one component of the position's total compensation package.
