What we're looking for

We're looking for a Kitchen Operations Manager responsible for setting up the ongoing day-to-day operation of our new kitchen located in Seattle, representing CookUnity as the face and voice of the brand and a culture setter for new hires.

The Role

As part of the founding team in Seattle, you will be working closely with the Expansion Manager helping setting up the kitchen, hire and train new employees and have an active role in our chef recruiting process.

Success for this role is to become a partner, an ally, to our chef community making sure they have everything they need to execute an optimal menu strategy. Key to the role will also be positioning kitchen operations for growth.

On a daily basis, you'll be responsible for recipe consistency & development, food safety, quality control, and packaging training. You will also be responsible for the successful packaging and execution of allergy meals, which requires close attention to detail.

This is a full-time hire.


  • Help hire, train and manage kitchen staff, organizing their scheduled work shifts
  • Manage daily & weekly workflow, pace and efficiency of the team. Maintain weekly and monthly cost reports
  • Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand. Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory counts
  • Oversee the food preparation and cooking process
  • Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized
  • Collaborate with recipe testing and Chef's onboarding


  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Food Manufacturing, High Volume Commercial Kitchen,
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations
  • Experience working with and sourcing local, sustainable & organic ingredients
  • Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Being able to speak conversational Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • You should be able to travel at least 1 week to our HQ in NYC to receive training before we launch
  • FoodServe License
