What we're looking for

We're looking for talented Data Engineers that love food, big challenges, and a powerful purpose. The Data team's mission is to provide CookUnity with trusted data that is easy to use and understand. This engineer will be CookUnity's first full time Data Engineer, and will be joining our existing team of skilled Data Analysts. In the future, the team will grow to include a Data Scientists and a Head of Data.

The Role

As a Data Engineer, you'll report directly to the VP of Engineering. You'll work closely together with data analysts and team members from other squads to determine CookUnity's data engineering needs.

This is a full-time hire.

Responsibilities

  • Develop efficient ELT processes.
  • Assemble data sets that meet business requirements.
  • Improve manual processes through tooling and automation.
  • Introduce new infrastructure to support CookUnity data needs.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Proficient in working with Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of ELT best practices.
  • Experience building and optimizing data pipelines.
  • Experience with AWS.
  • Effective use of Git.
