Your Impact
As a key player in our shipping team, your impact will be felt across every stage of the order fulfillment process. You will ensure that shipments are accurate, timely, and in full compliance with both legal and company regulations, including the handling of dangerous goods. By meticulously overseeing the flow of packages, from order preparation to outbound coordination with carriers, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining a smooth and efficient shipping operation. Your expertise in logistics, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities will directly contribute to enhanced productivity and operational efficiency. Additionally, your keen eye for process improvement will help drive continuous enhancement in our shipping procedures, making you instrumental in optimizing our overall supply chain performance.
What You’ll Do
Location: Onsite at our Daventry, UK Office
Reports to: Senior Manager, Operations
- Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
- Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
- Verify orders picked to ensure quantities and items are correct.
- Ensure all required documentation properly affixed to shipments, such as packing slips, bills of lading, etc.
- Inspect label, barcodes and other features of completed orders.
- Coordinate outbound shipments for pick-up with FedEx or freight carriers as assigned.
- Ensure that the shipping processes are running smoothly and effectively.
- Resolve issues regarding shipped orders.
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies – Dangerous Goods experience is required.
- Report to management on activities and issues.
- Accountable to assess and recommend improvements for shipping processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment.
What You Bring
- Previous shipping experience.
- Solid knowledge of logistics procedures.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving abilities.
- Able to lift 45 pounds.
- Able to operate a forklift safely.
