Your Impact
The Arizona Facilities Manager will plan, organize and direct the maintenance, repair and alteration of all AXON office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities in Arizona. Specifically, you serve as the direct representative in planning and developing facilities; ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently, within budget, and on time and meet all health, safety, and environmental standards and are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced team leader who excels in managing diverse teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of fostering an inclusive work environment, promoting diversity of thought, and leveraging the strengths of individuals from various backgrounds. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor, inspire, and cultivate a culture of collaboration and respect, are essential for this role.
What You’ll Do
Location: Onsite at our Scottsdale, Arizona office
Reports to: Sr. Manager, Global Facilities
Reports: 3 direct reports with an overall team of 16
- Lead, mentor and train a team of facility technicians and administrative staff across multiple sites, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, meeting all goals, objectives, and schedules to support Axon in our continued operational growth
- Perform personnel functions for the purpose of retaining adequate staffing and personnel development by creating/maintaining standard operating procedures, practices, and training.
- Manage and inspect site repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure accurate completion to minimize impact to all departments and operations this includes, repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance and supplies for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed with utmost efficiency. This will include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and safety systems across multiple locations.
- Manage a team of on-site facility personnel, service providers, and vendors to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across all sites.
- Review design and specifications for all projects to ensure Axon meets all regulations.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of facilities, budgets, and upcoming projects.
- Develop short and long-range maintenance plans/programs to reduce downtime and operational costs.
- Maintain records for inspections, permits, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets for the maintenance, grounds, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and other resources. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast and plan for future space requirements as the business grows or changes.
- Research new products, laws, regulations, etc., for the purpose of recommending purchases, contracts and maintenance services
- Act as the point of contact for emergency services and ensure quick resolution to any critical facility issues.
- Identify and present sustainable initiatives to reduce energy consumption and waste, improving the environmental impact of the facilities.
- Support Health, Safety, and Physical Security initiatives
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
What You Bring
- 5+ years of increasingly responsible experience in building maintenance which includes facility planning, maintenance, construction and operations with a focus on multi-site operations.
- Strong understanding of building systems, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) certification a plus
- Experience with sustainability and energy management initiatives.
- Proficiency in facilities management software (e.g., CMMS).

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 98,550 in the lowest geographic market and USD 157,680 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
