Your Impact
As a Sr. Global Benefits Specialist at Axon, you’ll be at the forefront of supporting and innovating our benefits programs, helping to shape a rewarding and supportive employee experience. What You’ll Do
Location: Hybrid from one of our offices (Scottsdale, Seattle, Boston, Atlanta, Denver)
Reports to: Global Benefits Manager
- Oversee the administration of our health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance programs, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with benefits vendors to resolve eligibility and claims issues, ensuring our benefits programs run smoothly and align with legal regulations.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, answering benefits-related questions and offering insights on available resources.
- Manage and process benefit enrollment for new hires and qualifying life events, including accurate data entry in our HRIS system (Workday).
- Lead annual open enrollment, from planning and executing communications to managing system configurations and ensuring a seamless experience for employees.
- Analyze benefit-related reports and resolve discrepancies by collaborating with payroll and HR tech teams, improving data accuracy and process efficiency.
- Assist in developing and delivering engaging educational materials for employees, promoting understanding and appreciation of our benefits offerings.
- Support Axon’s wellness initiatives, coordinating wellness programs and championing a culture of health and balance.
- Facilitate benefits plan audits, government filings, and ACA compliance, maintaining program integrity and legal compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging data to enhance employee benefits satisfaction and streamline operations.
- Processing of our POR and vendor invoicing.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience in benefits administration, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and Section 125.
- Experience with HR systems, particularly Workday, and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions to improve program efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and maintaining confidential information.
- Proactive, resourceful problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) preferred, but not required.
- Bilingual (Spanish - English) preferred, but not required.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD $87,300 in the lowest geographic market and USD $131,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
