Your mission :

You will play a pivotal role in the growth of Too Good To Go Italy by using your leaderships skills and experience in the food retail sector to lead a team within our Key Accounts department whose goal is to acquire and grow partnerships with prominent retailers in the food and beverage industry, focusing specifically on important supermarkets key accounts.

Your Role : 

Your primary responsibility is to inspire a team of Key Account Managers from the front and win new key accounts by identifying and researching new opportunities, building rapport with stakeholders and ultimately signing their business up to a partnership with Too Good to Go. Your team will support these accounts through the onboarding and roll out process and you will continue to look for ways to strengthen and grow the relationship ✨

Reporting to the Head of Key Account, you will manage 5+ Key Account Managers in the Supermarket and Ho.Re.Ca sector team, and collaborate with other Key Accounts team members as well as colleagues across management, marketing, independent sales, and partner success.

The role will include:

  • Team leadership: line management of Key Account Managers within the Key Account team, taking responsibility for their goals and objectives, their feedback and development, and their overall performance
  • Structure, Optimise & prioritize: Identify key performance drivers and set up the right team structures and processes for exponential growth, while defining the key topics to be tackled first to make sure we keep it simple.
  • Customer Centricity: Work hand in hands with the KAMs to roll out the best practices to facilitate conversion and to make sure you customize your local customer strategy.
  • Contribute to the Key Account strategy and supporting international cooperation across global key chain opportunities. Building reports to track performance and identify trends, create financial projections and forecasts for internal planning and commercial proposals.
  • Pitch: create and deliver high quality, professional presentations to potential partners, and confidently speak about the business and food waste proposition
  • Assisting in annual forecasting with the Head of Key Account and the Country Director, working through realistic scenarios that will drive your team's production and performance.
  • Support roll-outs: working with the team and the retailer to plan, schedule and execute store rollouts at scale

 Requirements : 

  • Previous experience in building and guiding a team in a commercial environment, e.g. Sales or Key Account Management. You know how to train and motivate a team.
  • Solid commercial experience working in prominent brands in the Supermarket and Ho.Re.Ca sector. The candidate should have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of retail in this sector.
  • Business development and Account Management experience, demonstrating an ability to establish, nurture and win leads by selling in a proposition to a variety of senior stakeholders 
  • You are performance oriented by thriving given freedom and accountability for results, & enjoy setting ambitious goals for your team and over-perform.
  • You are highly organised and can build structures and processes that meet business needs.
  • You have problem-solving skills and the ability to lead negotiations.
  • Full professional proficiency in Italian and English
  • Planning and project management skills to both plan and project manage effectively throughout the Key Account acquisition and retention process.
  • CRM & Data Analysis knowledge to use raw data to create performance reports and projections to identify and understand trends, opportunities and issues.
  • You are a make-it-happen person and have a true passion for the mission and raising awareness of food waste & sustainability.
