At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste.

Why? Because more than 40% of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. Did you know that 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss alone?

As the world’s largest food waste-fighting app, we connect stores that have unsold, surplus food with consumers who buy and enjoy it.

So far we’ve amassed a community of 103 million users in 19 countries that have saved more than 373 million meals from going to waste together. We are incredibly proud of this, but there’s still a lot more we want to achieve.

That’s why we’re more than an app: we are also a certified B Corporation and our mission is to inspire, so we’re doing all we can to create educational tools, make our knowledge as accessible as possible, find new business solutions and even change legislation to reduce food waste too.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but did we mention the issue is huge?

It will be an adaptation of the Global Strategy and proactive activations due to local opportunities identified. The PR Manager will also lead a local PR agency and our LinkedIn strategy. • Identify opportunities to share our mission with the public (and newsjacking)

  • Train & work with spokespersons locally
  • Overview all media inquiries (TV, radio, web, press) and interviews/TV shoots logistics) and seize event opportunities to speak at for the spokespersons
  • Analyse & report on the impact of the press relation strategy to continuously improve content and action plans
  • Benchmark competition and other food-related campaigns
  • Drive & manage a local PR agency
  • Support the work we do on B2B Comms with Corporate business partners and Partner Marketing teams to tell Too Good To Go’s company story, rooted in our impact, purpose and values.
  • Work collaboratively with the B2C campaign manager to drive campaign and have impact
  • Design and execute the LinkedIn strategy for the Too Good To Go France Page
  • Support and collaborate with the Public Affairs Manager

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar PR role and networks in France
  • Proven experience in a PR role (agency, in-house or both). Experience with an agency is highly valued
  • Brilliant communication skills (verbal and written) in French and English
  • The ability to translate ideas into PR tactics
  • Experience running an efficient press office and driving media relations
  • Excellent understanding of the French media landscape and how to make the most out of a story
  • A deep interest in food waste and sustainability
  • Creativity and open mindedness for new and strong narratives for a bigger impact
