We are seeking a visionary Global Head of Information Technology to join our best-in-cloud, best-in-people, technology consulting firm. As a key strategic partner to the executive team, you will spearhead our global IT operations, ensuring alignment between technology initiatives and business growth objectives. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking leader with a proven track record of implementing innovative IT solutions that scale enterprise capabilities and support global firm initiatives.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing an IT roadmap, fostering digital transformation, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance operational effectiveness. We are looking for a seasoned IT executive who can build and mentor a high-performing global team, forge strategic technology partnerships, and drive continuous improvement across all IT functions. Your ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and create a culture of innovation will be crucial in future-proofing our organization's technological landscape.
Ideal candidates will be able to:
- Ensure strong alignment with business stakeholders on IT strategies and roadmaps, acting as a collaborative technology thought partner.
- Oversee the assessment, design, implementation, and maintenance of global IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud-based systems.
- Identify, track and measure SLA, KPI’s and metrics with a mindset of continuous improvement.
- Build and drive digital transformation enabling a highly productive workforce by enabling self-serve and using AI/ML to drive operational effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Lead, mentor, and set direction for a diverse, global team of IT professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer service within the IT department.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance business processes, improve productivity, and create competitive advantages.
- Develop and maintain a robust information security program to protect the firm's data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Develop strategies for effective systems integration, data management, governance, and utilization.
- Implement business intelligence and analytics solutions to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience leading an IT function, ideally at a global professional services organization.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing large-scale IT initiatives and digital transformation projects.
- Success in integrating new and existing systems across the enterprise.
- Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, including cloud computing, AI, and data analytics.
- Experience with IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated track record of forming, leading, and managing high-performing global technology teams, fostering a positive work environment that enhances productivity and encourages innovation.
- Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to make complex subjects understandable for non-technical audience and communicate with internal stakeholders to quickly establish trust and influence strategic decision-making across the firm.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; Advanced degree in technology / data related field is preferred.
- Chicago-based candidates preferred for a hybrid role.
