We are looking for a passionate, proven Communications Specialist to join our in-house communications team in London.

Box entered the European market in June 2012 with its first office based in London, later expanding throughout Europe to offices in Paris, Amsterdam, Munich and Warsaw. This role will drive increased brand awareness in the region, while supporting the European team during the next phase of growth.

Applicants for this position should be creative, big picture thinkers as well as strong project managers that are excited to help Box take on the enterprise software status quo through killer media relations campaigns and relationship building with customers, CIOs, and press. The Communications Specialist will also support internal communications efforts in EMEA, working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to deliver culture-building initiatives for the greater European team.

As a member of the Global Communications team, the EMEA Communications Specialist will partner closely with the Marketing, Internal Communications, People, and Executive Leadership teams at Box, both in the US and EMEA.

  • Support the development and execution of the European PR strategy in order to drive awareness in EMEA markets including UK, SEMEA and DACH

  • Work with EMEA PR agencies to maximise regional presence and localise steady stream of Box product launches and partnership announcements for the EMEA region

  • Draft and edit communications materials including press releases, blog posts, bylines, press pitches, and executive briefing documents

  • Build compelling thought leadership platforms for local Box executives through written content, speaking and media engagements

  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with national, business, and strategic technology publications across Europe

  • Lead on tracking and analysing media coverage for the EMEA team, collaborating with the EMEA PR agencies on measurement

  • Work with global social media lead to expand social presence in Europe

  • Support Box EMEA's programme of internal communications activities, including All Hands meetings



  • Required qualifications 

    • BA/BS degree 

    • 3+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications at an agency or in-house

    • Strong writing, editing and messaging skills

    • Excellent organisational and project management skills

    • Fluency with social media channels and tools

    • Flexible - you have a demonstrated ability to prioritize and reprioritize tasks 

    • Enthusiastic team player - everyone pitches in to get the job done

    • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for B2B tech, SaaS, cloud and enterprise collaboration

  • Preferred qualifications 

    • Former writer or member of the media

    • Second European language a bonus (French, German, Dutch)
