Come join an HR team that makes an impact. As our Principal HR Business Partner, you will be the go-to strategic advisor for key members of our leadership team. You’ll need to be business-focused, leveraging your deep HR knowledge and experience to shape and execute HR strategies that align with Tenstorrent’s goals. You’ll own key HR initiatives, work closely with leadership to drive results, and ensure that our HR strategies support our rapid growth. This is not a role for someone who shies away from tough conversations or hard decisions—you’ll need to lead with the truth, own your recommendations, and be ready to get shit done.
This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA, Austin, TX, Boston, MA, or Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives, providing insights and solutions that drive results.
- Leadership Coaching: Offer candid, experienced advice to leaders, helping them navigate challenges, build high-performing teams, and foster a culture of accountability and growth. Help leaders see around corners, and become a key member of their leadership teams.
- Change Management: Lead and support large-scale change initiatives, ensuring that our people and processes evolve to meet the needs of our rapidly scaling organization.
- Performance Management: Drive a culture of high performance by implementing effective performance management processes and ensuring leaders have the tools and support they need to build and lead highly performing teams.
- Organizational Planning: Forecast workforce needs and develop plans to meet those needs, focusing on talent acquisition, retention, and development.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor in managing employee relations issues, ensuring that solutions are fair, consistent, and aligned with our operating principles.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making, identify trends, and develop proactive strategies to address potential challenges.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an executive-level HR Business Partner, with a track record of success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. We acknowledge that levels in HR organizations are varied. Principal is equivalent to a Director-level position at Tenstorrent, and we expect you to be able to operate as such.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business needs into HR strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with change management, organizational development, and leadership coaching.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate challenges and address them head-on.
- A fearless approach to making tough decisions and having difficult conversations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and follow through on commitments.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
