Tenstorrent is growing and we are looking for a Sr. Manager, Information Security in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The Information Security Manager will provide technical expertise and manage Security Engineering staff. The Information Security Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing Tenstorrent's information security program. This includes developing and implementing strategies, policies, and procedures to protect the company's information assets, systems, and networks from potential threats and cyber-attacks. The role involves conducting security risk assessments, enforcing security controls, and coordinating incident response efforts. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in information security, risk management, and leadership skills. They will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior management to ensure compliance with security standards and promote a security-conscious culture.
This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA, Austin, TX, Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage Tenstorrent’s security initiatives to protect its assets, employees, and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about current and emerging threats in the IT Security landscape.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy aligned with the IT organization's goals and risk profile.
- Directs all security audits and tasks to ensure that the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information to end-users, is not compromised and manage the remediation of newly discovered urgent, critical and high severity rated findings.
- Create and evolve the security incident response plan.
- Oversee the internal vulnerability management process.
- Partner with Information Technology to ensure escalation workflow incidents are managed and vulnerabilities are remediated.
- Coordinate security-related vendors and service providers to ensure they meet security requirements.
- Lead cyber incident table-top exercises to ensure Tenstorrent is prepared for the latest cyber threats.
- Ensure adherence to relevant security laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure the organization's ability to respond to disruptions effectively.
- Promote a security-aware culture throughout the organization through training and education initiatives..
- Manage Security staff members while fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development, and high performance.
- Draft policies and procedures as needed around Security.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in information security.
- A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent industry experience.
- Familiarity with information security frameworks and controls (SOC, NIST, ISO).
- Advanced experience working with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detect & Response (EDR), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and security technologies.
- Preferred security certifications, CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to lead a security team and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex security challenges.
- Extensive experience in security management, with a proven track record of implementing and overseeing security programs.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, FedRamp, etc.)
- In-depth understanding of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and experience with NIST frameworks, including NIST 800-160 for systems security engineering and secure development practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
