We are seeking a hardware expert to engage and support design-in solutions with OEM and ODM customers. In this role you'll collaborate with the sales team and FAEs by providing engineering support to integrate Tenstorrent’s chip technology into OEM platforms. You will tackle hardware and software engineering problems to build a portfolio of Tenstorrent based server and platform products for sale to end users.
This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, Austin or Toronto.

Responsibilities:
- Assist sales, applications engineering and business development in guiding OEM/ODM customers through the design-in development process for data center systems using Tenstorrent product solutions.
- Work directly with OEM and ODM customers as required, understanding requirements, and providing engineering support from architecture, schematics, simulation and layout through validation and initial production.
- Develop innovative HW, chip, and system architectures to extend the state of the art in machine learning performance and efficiency.
- Train FAE’s and customers/partners on Tenstorrent products and handle in-depth hands-on engagement with customers on complex engineering projects for large-scale data center deployments.
- Document the product design specifications, and prepare reference design documents to enable rapid adoption of Tenstorrent’s chipset into OEM server solutions.
- Review customers’ solution and design, support customer design boards bring-up, diagnose problems and seek to resolve technical issues.
- Manage assigned customer issues and quickly determine technical details of the issue to provide timely direction and support to the working team.
- Craft presentations covering top design issues, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions and align with FAE’s to support issue closure.
Experience & Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or equivalent. Strong academic background in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree.
- Computing system knowledge with expertise in python and Linux.
- 5+ years of work-related experience in high-speed signal, system build, network or CPU/GPU.
- Familiar with hardware development tools, scope and testing of signal integrity.
- System design experience working with OEM, ODM or application engineering on enterprise servers or switches.
- Experience working at data centers on system, rack and cluster level products is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and planning skills, while being self-motivated with a focus on execution and quality.
- Highly collaborative and able to lead and work within cross functional teams.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
