We are looking for a talented and experienced Tools Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools and instrumenting our code base to gather critical information to analyze customer issues offline. This information will be used to diagnose and resolve issues and improve the user experience of our customers.
This role is hybrid, based out of Austin, TX; Santa Clara, CA; or Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of analysis tools and instrumentation for the runtime software and firmware of a custom highly parallel AI processor
- Develop automated systems to gather and report diagnostic data from in house and customer installations.
- Analyze diagnostic data identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure tools are scalable and can handle complex, multi-threaded software environments.
- Work closely with the customer support team to provide insights and solutions for
- customer-reported problems.
- Continuously improve the tools based on feedback and technological advancements.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in developing tools and instrumentation for complex software systems.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and experience with multi-threaded programming.
- Deep understanding of software debugging, profiling, and performance analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in the semiconductor or AI industry is a plus.
Compensation for all engineers at Tenstorrent ranges from $100k - $500k including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
