Who we are looking for
Working with the Chief Lean Officer, you will partner with Re:Build’s Engineering Services, Innovation and Process Development teams to identify and pursue opportunities to transform how the work gets done by our technology based consultative development teams. This role will facilitate, coach and guide work to enable collaboration across multiple locations, facilitate advancement and sharing of best practices, advance critical initiatives, and support transformation and continuous improvement in highly technical areas. You will be able to impact business growth, guide change, and cultivate lean culture as part of the enterprise Lean Transformation team.
What you get to do
- Engage our experts in engineering services and new product and process development to identify and pursue opportunities to enhance performance, quality, and efficiency to support business growth, value for our customers and excel in the development lifecycle.
- Coach the evolution and integration of standard processes, lean thinking, and engineering development system improvement strategies in collaboration with Re:Builders at all levels.
- Support innovation and development practices such as Lean Product and Process Design (LPPD) methods, Design thinking, and Design for Manufacturing.
- Technical teacher, coach, and facilitator. Be a guiding force that keeps the organization moving forward advancing the system.
- Coach A3 Thinking and Process Improvement activities across engineering services.
- Drive cultural change enabling continuous improvement across engineering centric areas of the business engaging partners to gain agreement and ownership.
- Develop and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and educational materials to promote market leading engineering excellence across product development and innovation sectors of the business.
- Establish and facilitate knowledge and experience sharing creating avenues for yokoten.
- Establish metrics to track the success of transformation in assigned areas.
- Support transformation across the enterprise, collaborating with other transformation coaches on value stream improvements and all aspects of the Re:Build Lean Business System Deployment.
- Coach 2P and 3P practices as appropriate to support facility and automation/process development.
- Model behavior and culture aligned with the 16 Principles of the Re:Build Way.
What you bring to the Team
- Required: BS in Engineering or higher with 10+ years of design engineering and implementation in one or more Engineering disciplines.
- Experience working across multiple functions within a lean based engineering product and process development system.
- Experience and/or exposure to design services/consultancy.
- Proven experience coaching/facilitating.
- Experience Coaching 2P/3P lean process development.
- High deep fluency with engineering first principles
- Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
- Experience coaching A3 thinking/PDCA, scientific based problem solving.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $226,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Note: The provided salary range is based on the company's compensation framework and market data. Actual pay may vary depending on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The final compensation package will be determined at the time of hire.
