Who we are looking for
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for working with Tekna’s suppliers to help them provide high-quality components and services to Tekna, address nonconformities with effective corrective actions, and comply with Tekna requirements. This hands-on position requires going to the source (at Tekna or supplier) to see why something isn't working and propose solutions. A successful SQE will push suppliers to action and resolve issues promptly. The ideal candidate will have experience in a regulated industry, however, this is not a requirement.
What you'll get to do
- Audit suppliers to assess capabilities and quality system as well as compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Document nonconforming materials within quality system and assist with the disposition determination.
- Work with suppliers to address nonconforming material and processes with sound, effective corrective action and improve production yields and efficiencies.
- Define PPAP requirements and assist suppliers correctly document the PPAP.
- Work with suppliers to implement successful process validations where needed and customers to properly complete and document changes to product or process.
- Execute quality agreements with suppliers as needed.
- Assist with complaint investigations as required.
What you bring to the team
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Development or Manufacturing areas or equivalent job experience.
- 5-10 years experience in a similar role.
- Communication, problem solving, organizational and digital literacy skills.
- Ability to read blue prints.
