We are currently seeking a Virtual Construction (VC) Project Manager to join our Nox Innovations team in Phoenix, AZ. This person will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Virtual Construction process alongside our internal construction team and customers. This includes design, trade coordination, clash detection, model QA/QC, and layout and installation coordination. The role will also involve supporting our preconstruction team during the bidding process for potential new projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and development for the VC team, including conducting performance reviews, developing team members, holding team meetings, identifying resource needs, and ensuring project success.
- Manage and review VC schedules throughout projects
- Participate in the trade coordination process and support the VC team with critical problem solutions.
- Understand VC scope and expectations required for each project
- Manage project budgets, including tracking man-hours, change orders, and costs.
- Review contract drawings and design models to identify discrepancies, scope gaps, coordination issues and design challenges.
- Facilitate project kick-off meetings, document expectations in the project BIM PxP, and ensure those expectations are met throughout the project.
- Collaborate with the operations and preconstruction teams to understand project expectations and the VC role in each project.
- Ensure proper sign-off procedures are followed during the coordination process.
- Coordinate layout deliverables/expectations between the project team and the field support team
- Attend coordination meetings, perform site visits, and collect data required to perform modeling tasks
- Prepare VC estimates based on scope and VC deliverables
- Assist business development in the planning and pursuit of future projects, including client interviews.
- Identify resource needs for each project and allocate them accordingly.
- Ensure questions regarding projects and model information are properly documented and addressed.
- Support the development of fabrication kitting as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster strong interdepartmental relationships based on trust and collaboration.
- Ensure that all VC deliverables and expectations are met and completed at the project close-out.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of VC/BIM policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in the development and standardizing VC/BIM workflows across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Diploma Courses or equivalent is required
- 2+ years’ experience in the electrical field desired
- 5+ years’ experience CAD/BIM/Revit required
- Proven experience managing teams or individuals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, management, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- A team player with a desire to provide high-level service.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in construction, with specific knowledge of electrical systems (required).
- Field experience (preferred).
