We are currently seeking a VC Project Engineer who will supervise the VC team on a project level. The role involves coordinating complex building models per project-specific PEP (Project Execution Plan), from design to prefabrication, layout, and construction phases. Working models will be utilized for owner presentations, clash detection, construction estimating, construction coordination, prefabrication, and installation. This position reports to the VC Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Lead the CAD and BIM coordination efforts on selected projects from the design stage through pre‐fabrication, layout, and construction phases.
- Manage the production and timeline of project BIM deliverables in alignment with the project schedule.
- Coordinate NOX Innovations BIM and related submittals through BIM Project Coordination meetings.
- Serve as a liaison between the Project Team, Design Team, Install Team, and other trades to address problems and propose solutions.
- Resolve conflict issues arising between the design and construction documents and the project's specification and contract requirements.
- Interact with the field install team to verify conditions and enforce compliance with the model during construction progress.
- Coordinate the workload of the model Designer and Install team to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Responsible for internal design schedule and ensuring Client's deliverables are met and the project is on budget.
- Provide the internal design schedule to the Project Coordinator to productively manage the team's daily goals.
- Attend Coordination meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the construction field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in BIM.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized, systematic, and competent in performing detailed tasks.
- Strong ability to be a team player and leader.
- Self-starter and motivated to work efficiently.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Education & Certifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent is required.
