Glance at Inmobi:
Glance is a lock-screen first mobile content content platform set up within InMobi. The average mobile phone user unlocks her phone >150 times a day. Glance aims to be there, providing visually rich, easy to consume content to entertain and inform mobile users - one unlock at a time. Glance is live on millions of mobile phones in India already, and we are only getting started on this journey! We are now into phase 2 of the Glance story - we are going global!
InMobi is looking to bring on-board a Sub-Editor who can set up and manage a world-class editorial team for Malaysia. Glance Malaysia will publish a rich feed of ~300 daily news and updates in English, as well as in Malay. This operation will require a crack team of digital editors who are able to scour the internet for the best news and feature content in English, as well as in Malay, write great headlines and short summaries to go with the updates, and to take them live in quick-time. The Sub-Editor will be tasked with the responsibility of building this country team, and managing day-to-day Glance editorial operations through them.
Filter your search to retain key feature stories that are extremely interesting and High-reach.
Rework the stories and create fascinating headlines and summaries that will increase reader interest. These will be sharp, cool and informative.
You will also suggest story ideas that are theme relevant and curate content that will cater to this need
Build a reliable proof-reading layer to check the content that is curated and written.
Publish the content and oversee the publishing schedules to maintain regularity.
Generate daily reports on content performance and provide recommendations to optimize the operation.
Work alongside senior editorial resources to ideate and develop newer content Models.
Maintain records of daily operations and manage team schedules of team members.
Provide regular reports of competition and provide recommendations to stay ahead.
Handle multiple content assignments and have deliverables to several content heads for various requirements.
A Digital editor with editorial experience with excellent writing and speaking proficiency in both English and Malay language.
Knowledgeable about the digital media eco-system and talent pool in Malaysia.
Experienced in working in teams.
An Internet junkie with a fascination for content across a wide spectrum of subjects.
Amenable to working in various shifts.
Outstanding in your ability to use language and grammar.
Deeply aware of various content apps and social media platforms.
Have knowledge of news sources are understand their individual characteristics.
Well adept at content research and understand the process of content verification.
Aware of the importance of deadlines and see a need to adhere and beat them.
Extremely comfortable with MS Office and Google Docs. A deep understanding of Excel or Sheets is highly advantageous.
