Building a new company in the recession of 2007 was no ordinary task. Yet with passion and foresight, we charted our course, helping to transform the way consumers engage with their phones.

Over the last 17 years, InMobi has built a global Advertising Platform that powers our customers’ growth by helping them engage their audiences and drive real connections.

InMobi has also built a second unicorn, Glance, which is advancing digital consumption and creating a new wave of disruption. Present on 400M devices across India, SEA, Japan and the US – Glance is one of the largest content platforms globally with~200M daily active users.

 

Japan – as a Market for InMobi: 

Japan stands as a key strategic market for us with a solid foundation built over the past 10 years. We work with some of the most prominent brands and agencies in Japan to underscore our commitment to addressing their diverse marketing objectives

We provide a mobile-first approach, seamlessly catering to a spectrum of marketing needs—from comprehensive market research to fostering customer engagement. Over the years, we have actively diversified our portfolio of offerings, evolving beyond Programmatic advertising to establish a robust exchange business. Furthermore, we have successfully launched Glance, our consumer-centric business, in the Japan market.

About the Role:

As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying, closing and maintaining relationships with key app developers across Japan. You will build a network of developer relationships in the region to structure and close high impact partnerships that contribute advertising inventory to our network. You will work collaboratively with the Supply team to ensure that your Japan portfolio scales and achieves its revenue targets. The position entails competency in sales and account management, and knowledge of advertising products and yield management. Ideal candidate would be able to:

  • Initiate, structure and negotiate high impact partnerships with app developers across the region
  • Build, prioritize, manage and communicate an active pipeline of partners
  • Create and grow revenue through your own book of business
  • Collaborate with internal teams to launch new publisher-focused products with your partners
  • Collate and interpret partner feedback to facilitate improved products
  • Represent InMobi at industry events, pitching the InMobi value proposition
  • Work with the Sales Team to ensure inventory is aligned with specific advertiser requirements

Who are you: 

You’re a hunter who loves closing deals. You are passionate about gaming and creating long-lasting partnerships with publishers/app developers. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Business Development experience within the Advertising Technology space
  • Desire to work directly with gaming publishers
  • Experience selling SDK solutions in a mobile environment
  • Hunter mentality; able to drive toward revenue goals
  • Must speak Japanese with understanding of English
  • Enhance Japan's overall growth by working closely with InMobi JP team members and broadening the range of partnership offerings available to your publishers
  • Prior experience with Mobile Video Advertising, Mobile Gaming and the Google Play and Appstores is preferred
