What is expected out of you? 

InMobi is actively seeking an exceptional leader to join our global leadership team and spearhead the InMobi Ads and consumer business in Japan. The ideal candidate for the position of Managing Director at InMobi Japan will be a dynamic and confident leader with a keen intellect, a proactive approach to challenges, and a proven track record of driving business growth. This individual should possess extensive knowledge and experience in -Digital Media, Content and Advertising industry. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the Japan market for InMobi group – Glance & InMobi Ads
  • Partner with the Founders to extend the company's vision and translate it into a comprehensive one & three-year strategy that aligns with long-term goals
  • Define the consumer engagement strategy to grow Glance into a leading consumer content platform on smartphones in Japan market
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and commitment to the organization's mission and purpose, displaying strong motivation to embark on an ambitious journey with InMobi, emphasizing a long-term perspective
  • Foster growth in InMobi's Ads business by cultivating deep, enduring, and strategic relationships with customers, advertisers, and publishers in Japan
  • Provide the highest level of care, guidance and support to our teams and stakeholders ensuring mutual long-term business goals are achieved
  • Drive tactical and strategic tracks for brand engagement and consumer growth on our Glance platform
  • In charge of leading InMobi’s Marketing, Public Relations (PR), and Recruiting efforts for the Japanese market 
  • Act as the face of InMobi Group in Japan, representing the company across various external forums, Telco & OEM partnerships, government entities, public bodies, business partners, and key customers
  • Collaborate closely with Platform leaders, experience Units, Strategy & Ops, core Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance teams to achieve strategic goals
  • Offer a unique perspective to facilitate win-win solutions
  • Instill and drive a strong performance culture within the team at the Japan office

Requirements: 

  • Possess over 18 years of experience in the internet industry in Japan, with a substantial background in Digital Media and Consumer content platform, AdTech (B2B or B2C) 
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a GM/Country Manager in a global organization operating in Japan
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of the P&L/Budget, including effective cashflow management
  • Exhibit strong agility to thrive in a dynamic environment and experience working in Japanese and Global companies as part of the Digital ecosystem
  • Showcase a history of delivering rapid growth agendas within a startup or fast-paced environment, employing a hands-on approach
  • Proficiency in Japanese with a solid working knowledge of English will be essential
