Position Summary: Fusion Worldwide, the premier global open-market distributor of electronic components, is hiring an Export Compliance Manager who will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of a comprehensive company compliance program. We are seeking someone with expertise in export and material compliance who understands the classification of parts and where they can be shipped. Based in our Haverhill, MA location, this role is both strategic and tactical in nature and essential to Fusion Worldwide as our business continues to expand.

What you can do for us
  • Manage overall import/export compliance operation, including process, denied parties screen, proper product classification and proper paperwork to ensure that global trade transactions are in compliance with export laws, regulations and controls via the US government
  • Understand and have experience of trade compliance, such as Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the Harmonized Tariff System, Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN), licensing requirements, etc.
  • Handle material compliance including materials declaration forms
  • Interface daily with operations and administration to ensure smooth communication and order flow
  • Work with parts manufacturers and distributors to maintain proper classification
  • Ensure that all product is properly classified and that all customers are properly vetted
  • Work with IT to build export compliance programs into our CRM
  • Develop and conduct training on trade compliance matters including managing the annual compliance training; attend offsite training courses leading to import/export compliance certification
  • Continuously review changes to export compliance laws and regulations
  • Maintain an organized and efficient export compliance operation that strives to achieve 0 defects and 100% customer satisfaction
  • Act as compliance expert in any external or internal audits
  • This role can lead to a global management position with the company
  • This position will initially report to the COO and work with current logistics staff across the global organization
Who we’re looking for
  • U.S. trade compliance experience required, preferably in the technology industry
  • Experience with material compliance preferred
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Communication and the ability to lead by example
  • Overall planning and organizing competency
  • A deep attention to detail and dedication to accuracy and precision
