About the Role:

The Physical Security Specialist is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of CoreWeave’s video surveillance and access control systems.  The candidate will be a subject matter expert in our system software with current certifications and demonstrable experience of prior successful applications. The position requires knowledge of third-party integrations and will manage links to single-sign-on and other applicable systems.  The Specialist will have knowledge of computer networking and will be able to perform basic troubleshooting of system and edge device outages.  Additional responsibilities will include conducting investigations and training remote users on basic system operation.  This position will report to the company HQ daily and will sit in the security operations center.  

To be successful in the position, you must have deep knowledge of Physical Security systems and be passionate about making our facilities more secure.  The position requires a commitment to continuing education and operational excellence. Desired skills include strong organizational discipline, writing skills, and comfort with public speaking.  Top candidates will have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service.  

The position will require up to 10% travel to oversee site security and conduct training sessions.  The position will report directly to the Director of Physical Security at CoreWeave.

Your Role:

  • Day-to-day administration of CoreWeave’s unified backend video surveillance, access control, visitor management, intercom, and associated systems
    • Maintain system health with a goal of 100% uptime
    • Conduct investigations
    • Manage alerts and escalate as appropriate
  • Development of a systems testing, maintenance, and inspection program
  • Onboarding of new systems as they come online
    • Support for ongoing installations
    • Testing and commissioning of new installations
    • Troubleshooting and vendor assistance
  • Create training programs for end-users
  • Manage third-party integrations such as SSO and employee portals
  • Provide support for Data Center Operations
  • Stay current with industry best practices and pursue additional training and certifications
  • Strong time management, good technical writing, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
  • Willingness to learn new technologies/toolsets as part of the job responsibilities

Your Experience:

  • Highly experienced with Genetec Security Center, including certifications in both Omnicast and Synergis, with 2+ years of hands-on experience with an enterprise deployment
  • Solid fundamentals in networking/IT.  Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, and network troubleshooting
  • Degree in computer science, criminal justice, or a related field is preferable
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency using office tools such as MAC/Windows/Google Workspace

Nice-to-haves:

  • Professional certification (e.g. PSP, CPP, CPTED, etc.)
  • Manufacturer’s certifications from providers such as Axis, Bosch, Hanwha, others
  • Prior Law Enforcement and Military background is considered to be valuable
  • IT and cyber security certifications such as Network+ and Security+
  • Prior experience as a security operations center manager
  • Physical Security design experience
  • Project management experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000-$110,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Hybrid Workplace

Successful candidates will be expected to attend onboarding training at our NJ Headquarters for up to 2 weeks within their first month of employment, with subsequent quarterly travel requirements of 1 week duration.
