About the Role:
The Systems Engineer, IT Infrastructure role is responsible for developing and automating the technologies that power CoreWeave. This candidate is responsible for helping develop the synergies between existing internal technologies, and evaluate new technologies in order to deliver on IT’s productivity commitments to the broader organization. This person must thrive in working within a high functioning, rapid pace team, delivering high quality, repeatable and sustainable IT solutions. This person will be an individual contributor, working alongside other motivated engineers and technologists, and directly responsible for executing hands-on testing, configuration, and implementation of bleeding edge technologies to support the productivity within CoreWeave.
To be successful as a Systems Engineer, you should have an in-depth knowledge of various hardware and software technologies, including IDPs, MDMs, internal communication tools, and the middleware needed to connect multiple independent tools together. You have led POCs with new tools in the past, and have implemented new technologies at scale. Top candidates will have strong scripting skills and are not afraid to get into the weeds of internal IT software in order to deliver results needed from internal IT infrastructure and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior level technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for Engineering and Security teams,
- Manage user access and security through our Identity Provider to ensure secure administration of all IT systems
- Single Sign-On (SSO) Integration: Integrate applications and systems with Okta for seamless single sign-on experiences. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SSO integrations. Remove applications as required.
- Identity Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete lifecycle of user identities, including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access modifications. Implement and maintain automated workflows for user onboarding and off-boarding.
- Create and manage access policies to improve security and adhere to compliance standards.
- Administer and optimize VDI solutions to provide a seamless and secure virtual desktop experience. Collaborate with end-users and IT teams to troubleshoot VDI-related issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Security teams to coordinate on IT policies.
- Build policies and scripts using vendor APIs to support company owned devices and SaaS services such as Google Workspace, Slack and Zoom.
- Develop and maintain documentation for supported applications, processes, and training material to internal employees and IT staff
- Work with Security, PeopleOps and IT to develop automated onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Develop tooling and processes to facilitate end-user asset management, provisioning and tracking.
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with internal teams to drive initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience administering SaaS applications such as Okta (Okta Identity Engine & Identity Governance), Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom
- In-depth knowledge of identity and access management concepts and practices.
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft, Linux and Mac users
- Developing automation workflows and integrations for repetitive or manual tasks
- Experience working with CI/CD tools and Git
- Experience in one or more programming languages (Python/Go)
Nice to Have:
- Kubernetes experience
- Automation Tooling experience (Ansible/Terraform/Chef/etc)
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,000-$150,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
