About the Role:
CoreWeave is a dynamic, high-growth technology company. For this role, we particularly want someone who is inquisitive and enjoys working on complex questions and tackling new challenges. We are working on solving some of the most challenging and interesting technology projects around, on a scale unmatched by most.
Reporting to the Director, Capacity Planning, this individual will be analyzing and modeling demand and capacity data to enhance operational efficiency as new products, hardware architecture initiatives, and datacenters are rolled out.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scenario analysis with a focus on impact to capacity utilization to advise on infrastructure projects under guidance
- Build complex capacity models for deployment and capex planning that incorporate all physical and logical capacity limits, ensuring all assumptions are understood, measured, modeled and communicated
- Identify capacity-related concerns and proactively work with data science and eng to develop data pipeline requirements to support all capacity planning needs
- Analyze historical capacity resource usage metrics and actuals to create dashboards & reporting of key metrics across all product lines
- Build & run “what-if” capacity usage scenarios to support predictive budget planning and capacity impact
- Apply data analysis to inform strategic business decisions prioritizing operational trade-offs and capital spend
- Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to understand various organic and inorganic demand streams and product trends to analyze and deliver robust forecasts and deployment plans
- Analyze how hardware architecture and product changes impact capacity and provide feedback to teams and to upper level management
- Understand and interpret capacity metrics and requirements to distill large data sets to form recommendations to a larger cross-functional team
- Orchestrate capacity projects as part of larger infrastructure initiatives as it pertains to server, network and data center capacity
- Partner with Procurement, Logistics, and Datacenter teams to execute and minimize risks on hardware deployment plans across all data centers
Requirements
- Minimum 7-9 years of prior experience in a planning role, preferably at an infrastructure company
- Comfortable with basic computing concepts and terminology
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with cross-functional teams to coordinate operations and activities between departments
- Experience in managing large data structures (i.e. Excel, SQL, Looker/Tableau) to build reports and run analysis
- Ability to make recommendations in an ambiguous environment
- Interest in creating and streamlining processes
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Desire to work in fast-paced environment
- Exposure to—or interest in—cloud services, data center, networking and various types of server technology would be beneficial
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $145,000- $185,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
