We’re looking for a Marketing Writer who will report to the Director, Content.
Why is this role so important at Similarweb?
Join our blog team as a writer for our digital marketing content suite at a time when we’re revamping our content. Your job will be to ideate and create world-class content - you will be our internal leader for this content suite and help with strategy as well as long-form content creation (your bread and butter).

Ideally, you may have studied marketing research, or worked as a writer within the marketing space before. In-depth knowledge and/or experience of a marketing channel, such as SEO, affiliate, or PPC is a must.
This role is perfect for someone who has a passion for content and is happiest when researching and writing.
So, what will you be doing all day?
Your role as part of the Marketing Department means your daily responsibilities may include:
- Working from a brief, you will be responsible for the creation and optimization of blog articles - mostly evergreen guides, marketing insights, and data listicles
- Own your content pipeline - develop content strategies and run ideation sessions for your content suite
- Write product-infused and engaging blogs that will generate leads and conversions. Identify fresh and interesting angles for your content
- Write thought-leadership and guest posts on behalf of senior figures in Similarweb for external publications
- Repurpose insights, whitepapers, and reports into blog posts
- Write compelling, informational, and optimized copy for video scripts (you can star in the videos if you like!)
- Work alongside the SEO team to ensure all articles are optimized for Google rankings
- Work to Similarweb production targets (minimum of two long-form blogs produced per week)
- Use the Similarweb platform to pull and interpret data and turn this data into stories and insights
- Be an active member of the digital marketing community - build knowledge and contacts through networking
This is the perfect job for someone who:
- 3+ years experience as a content writer in the digital marketing space (preferred: SaaS experience)
- Extensive knowledge of marketing, or topics within the space: SEO, PPC, affiliate marketing, and/or display
- Experience in writing for the US market, or ability to write for this market
- Passion for content and writing (especially for writing long-form content)
- Native English speaker
- A strong understanding of SEO for content
- Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, internal clients, and distribution teams
- Ability to interpret data, graphs, tables, and quantitative insights
- Able to work independently & autonomously, focusing on key outcomes amidst competing priorities & tight deadlines
- Motivated & hardworking
