We’re looking for a Data Architect to help our Data Engineering and Data Science teams become more productive, define and lead POCs of data processing, ML and LLM technologies, improve our Data Lake and optimize our data serving platform. 

This role will report to VP R&D.

Our R&D team transforms petabytes of data into digital insights for our customers, on a daily basis. This means that we are always on the lookout for new ways to make those processes more efficient, reliable, and scalable.

We are looking for a Data Architect to define the optimal way of processing data, developing new algorithms, and sharing data between different R&D departments and with our customers. 

You will impact the work of hundreds of engineers and data scientists in Similarweb, by defining and implementing most suitable ways of data processing and influence our customers by providing top notch infrastructure for a flawless data delivery. 

So, what will you be doing all day?

Your role as Data Architect means your daily responsibilities may include:

• Define and implement standards and best practices for data engineering teams
• Lead improvements to our data processing infrastructure
• Research, POC and implement new data technologies
• Improve our Data Lake 
• Mentor data processing and data delivery teams

This is the perfect job for someone who:

1. Holds a BSc degree in Computer Science.
2. At least 3 years of experience as data architect or similar position
3. At least 10 years of experience in software development and data processing
4. Deep knowledge and understanding of modern data stacks and technologies
5. Deep knowledge and understanding of AWS cloud, Spark, Airflow, Sage Maker
6. Good knowledge of databases: relational, key value stores, document DBs and analytical DBs
7. Experience with ML ops
8. Have excellent leadership, communication and collaboration skills with the ability to provide constant dialog between engineering teams
