We’re looking for an Vertical Team Lead - Web, Backend (reporting to R&D Director)

We seek a dynamic and experienced Backend Team Lead to oversee and guide our team of talented full-stack developers in technical and managerial aspects. As a Backend Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping our development processes, ensuring efficient project execution, and fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
So, what will you be doing all day?
- Lead and mentor a team of full-stack developers, providing technical guidance and support to achieve exceptional results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Design, code and manage large scale, highly available services using cutting edge technologies (.Net, React, over AWS, CI/CD on Kubernetes).
- Lead the design of complex applications within a Big Data environment, while exploring and addressing challenging server-side issues.
- Ensure the adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural principles to maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure applications.
- Oversee the team's day-to-day activities, track progress, and identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical challenges, resolving issues promptly to ensure project success.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and professional growth.
This is the perfect job for someone who has:
- 2+ years experience as a Team Lead or similar managerial position, demonstrating the ability to lead, motivate, and empower development teams.
- Strong expertise in backend technologies, including .NET, NodeJs, MySQL.
- Experience with databases such as dynamo db, firebolt / snowflake.
- Advantage: Experience in front-end development utilizing JavaScript/TypeScript and React
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, version control systems, and continuous integration/delivery practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- A passion for staying updated with the latest industry trends and a commitment to driving technological advancements within the team.
