The Role: We are looking for a business-focused enterprise technology leader. Often the requirements for a new project are ambiguous. Your responsibility as a CTO will lead you to solve these challenges. You will build your path in collaboration with the Managing Director of Brazil and the CTO of the region. You will assume a leadership role in technical architecture, development, and building technical teams.
Responsibilities: You will oversee all aspects of the engineering organization, including technical strategy, architecture planning, hiring, and retaining our talents. You will be the guardian of the proper follow-up of best practices and the selection of the best technical frameworks. You will manage project development from start to finish and be the commercial area partner for the proper development of commercial offers. You will own the engineering budget and key decisions on technical architecture. You will not be alone. You will have the support of our office in Mexico and particularly the Americas CTO.
Skills and Competencies Required:
- Previous experience in creating development tools or products intended for front-end and back-end developers.
- A high degree of empathy with the user and actively seek to test, learn, and iterate based on user feedback.
- Motivated to found a business from its creation and can dedicate full time to the challenge.
- Previous startup experience is an advantage, as is experience working with distributed teams.
- Well connected with the developer community and can attract the right engineering team.
- Experience in engineering management in a high-growth startup or a medium-sized technology company focused on development.
- Your track record demonstrates deliveries of well-designed developments with modern technologies for a variety of different domains.
- Excited about creating a new business and the idea of fostering high-level technological teams.
- Enjoy being a mentor and guiding each of your collaborators in their professional and technical development.
- Like to get up in the morning to go to work. Your enthusiasm and technical level will help you define and promote a culture of engineering oriented towards technical excellence.
