YOUR ROLE:  

The DevOps Engineer will maintain and support Cloud Infrastructure and apply DevOps practices and solutions. The person will also implement Cloud-related and DevOps technologies such as AWS/Azure/Openstack/Kubernetes. Senior DevOps Engineer will be expected to conduct workshops with client to identify their challenges, come up with transformation roadmap and deliver technical solutions while coaching delivery teams on DevOps best practices.  

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Provide customers with reliable solutions  
  • Configure, maintain, and support the infrastructure both Cloud and On-Premises.  
  • Install, maintain, and support the various CI/CD, security and testing related tools  
  • Develop multi-stage CI/CD pipelines to enable faster and frequent releases to production; help delivery teams automate their build and deployment to cloud  
  • In some cases, act as a system administrator on different operating systems  
  • Document, and share knowledge on developed DevSecOps solutions  
  • Collaborate with clients and other PALO IT teams to understand client requirements, design comprehensive end-to-end approach, and implement DevOps solutions that meet client’s needs.  

  

WHO YOU ARE:  

  • Strong Unix / Linux / Bash knowledge  
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing, e.g. technologies, deployment, costing, HA/DR, etc  
  • You should be able to coach delivery teams on DevOps principles, e.g. CI/CD, test automation, release automation etc. and engineering practices, e.g. TDD, BDD 
  • Well versed with at least one of the public, private or hybrid cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Openstack, OpenShift, Google Cloud (GCP)  
  • Strong exposure on container technologies (eg: Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, AKS, Openshift etc..)  
  • Hands-on experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code using various tools including Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CFN, ARM etc  
  • Experience with developing and implementing processes to handle releases from development to operations while respecting internal rules, and offering solutions for rollback etc 
  • Hand-on experience in designing , developing and migrating CI/CD pipelines (eg: Github Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines etc..)  
  • You have a good understanding of microservice and event-driven architectures and DevSecOps practices which support relatively complex distributed systems  
  • Good understanding of monitoring and hands-on experience of setting up and configuring monitoring tools (e.g. ELK, Prometheus, Grafana and Splunk)  
  • Good to have strong RDBMS and NoSQL skill in deploying and fine-tuning such as MySQL, Oracle, Elasticsearch.  
  • Overall, 6-10 years of experience in platform automation, applying various DevOps principles.
