What We're Looking For:
As the Head of Engineering, you will partner with the PALO IT Thailand team to lead and drive our technical vision. You will act as an ambassador for PALO IT, present project proposals, and actively contribute to company development. Your responsibilities will include working closely with project teams and business stakeholders, providing technical expertise for innovation, ensuring project goals are met, designing scalable and secure software architecture, leading and mentoring the team, and implementing DevOps practices. You should have strong entrepreneurial and presales experience, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a background in software development and consulting.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Strong advocate of full-stack software development
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a sense of idealism and pragmatism
- Strong software development background
- Strong people leadership, mentorship and management skills
- Past consulting experience, ideally with Fortune 500 clients
- More than 10 years of hands-on experience in software development (frontend, backend, mobile) and working with complex information system architecture
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD, and XP
- Interested in learning Design Thinking and Lean Start-up
Requirements:
- Digital projects: web, tablet, and mobile applications
- Systems engineering concepts, cost/benefit analysis, business case studies, and requirements management.
- Transformation projects: DevOps, architecture, private/hybrid/external cloud
- Technologies: JavaScript (Angular, React, Vue, Node), iOS, Android, Flutter, Go, Backbone; HTML5; CSS3; Clojure; Java; J2EE; Ruby; DevOps/Cloud; Big Data; IoT; Artificial Intelligence; Blockchain
- Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Presales and sales experience
Additional Information:
- Familiarity with digital projects, transformation projects, and technologies such as AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, NodeJS, Flutter, GoLang, Java
- Exposure to DevOps/Cloud, Big Data, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, and Blockchain
- Passionate about making a positive impact and contributing to R&D, IT conferences, and writing articles
- PALO IT Ambassador role with active involvement in the company's development and purpose-driven initiatives
