Global Internal Auditor

The internal auditor will directly report to the CEO and is based in our HQ in Amsterdam.

What is the role about?

  • Develop an internal audit strategy coordinating with relevant departments to incorporate their scheduled audits.
  • Execute and design the internal audit strategy.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit workpapers and recommendations for management review and follow-up actions, ensuring compliance with audit documentation standards.
  • Present audit findings to relevant stakeholders, highlighting areas of improvement and providing actionable insights to enhance internal controls and risk management practices.
  • Track and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and management action plans to address identified deficiencies and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Implement control mechanisms to ensure internal governance, risk & compliance is being always upheld while the organization implements new processes and procedures.
  • Increase organizational awareness around good internal governance, risk & compliance, and coach promoters in all relevant areas of the organization.

What we’re looking for:

  • Education at Bachelor (HBO) level or higher
  • Experience with ISO 27001, SOC1 & 2, NEN7510, HIPAA and PCI-DSS. CISA Certification is desirable
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in internal auditing, risk management, or related fields, with a focus on global operations and multinational corporations
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, audit planning, executing audit procedures, and documenting findings in a global environment
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify root causes of issues and develop practical solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledgeable about complex IT environments
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Dutch
