The Sr Procurement Analyst will work directly with Executive Leadership Team and/or VP enterprise leadership to drive solutions and/or resolution of strategic business issues/opportunities.
- Articulate/drive business strategy
- Manage challenging projects with internal/external customers to support business operations
- Identify and provide insight to root causes and negative performance; including root cause analysis, trend analysis and VOA/VOC summarization
- Advanced-level understanding and application of principles specific to software/system development/lifecycle, user acceptance testing, and project/product implementation
- Viewed as advanced in solicitation of business requirements and current/future-state process design and documentation.
- Mentor, coach and train less experienced analysts
- Create documentation templates adopted at the enterprise-level
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert on business rules and logic maintaining a historical perspective on change and implications.
- Ability to deliver modeling if applicable; (i.e. P&C — policy modeling; L&R —predictive analytics)
- Facilitate strategic business project management office, including project prioritization activities and Executive Project Management Office (EPMO) business case database functions
- May serve the role of business liaison for processes/products.
- Serve in both lead and support roles to develop and execute strategic RFIP's (Requests for Proposals) in the vendor selection process to support corporate goals
- Lead in the process to gather business requirements to support RFIP's by working with business and IT leads simultaneously
- Negotiate key contract terms and conditions to ensure lowest TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) is achieved while providing the legal terms and conditions required to protect the Company
- Serve as procurement lead on a number of IT standard contract renewals to ensure we capture any changes to products, services and pricing and renegotiate as needed
- Provide additional department analytical support to manage vendor cost savings reports
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors' Degree or equivalent years of business experience
- Strong communication skills - both written and internal (required for developing and maintaining relationships with internal business owners and leaders as well as, external vendor relationships
- Previous procurement roles in a financial services/insurance environment preferred
- Analytical abilities to research financial/vendor cost proposals and provide internal customers comparison info
- Detail oriented; accuracy of details
- Reliability; can be counted on to execute assignments with high level of commitment to follow established processes and meet deadlines
- Interpersonal skills for developing long term relationships and guiding business partners through the procurement processes with confidence.
