Under close supervision, the Intern will develop technical skills and learn operational procedures and business practices. You will have the opportunity to work within a functional area to receive experience related to a degreed educational program.
Prepare quarterly financial statements for insurance subsidiaries.
Compile supporting documentation to support auditor requests.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
Complete daily system interface balancing.
Assist with data submission to various state agencies and other interested parties.
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills required. In addition, the incumbent must be organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently.
Must be pursuing a four-year degree program and may be receiving credits for internship towards graduation requirements.
Requires a desire to enter in the Accounting field, demonstrated by enrollment in an applicable degree program.
Must be able to work an average of 30 hours per week.
