We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Specialist II to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in analyzing TASER deployment incidents, managing sensitive video data, and supporting our efforts to improve public safety outcomes. The ideal candidate will be organized with strong analytical skills, a passion for data management, and experience in public safety or related fields.
The review of TASER deployment videos is a cornerstone of the TASER business and drives everything we do, from awarding officers who use a TASER device to save lives to driving the improves on the newest TASER models!
What You’ll Do
Location: Scottsdale, AZ HQ or Seattle, WA HQ
Reports to: Director of Taser Data Science
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct comprehensive data analysis related to TASER use and other compliance metrics. Generate regular reports for management and external stakeholders, turning complex data into actionable insights.
- Video Redaction: Handle and redact sensitive video data to protect privacy before releasing it to external stakeholders or using it internally. Track who shared what videos, when they shared them, and under what data sharing agreements.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the legal, sales, and technology teams to support investigations, sales processes, and technology deployments. Be the bridge that connects different departments and ensures smooth operations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify and recommend improvements to data management and analysis processes. Enhance efficiency and accuracy, making our systems better every day.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within a public safety, legal, or compliance setting.
- Proficient in video editing and redaction software.
- Strong skills in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
- Personal organization and process orientated mindset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The pay: Axon’s hourly pay philosophy is made up of base pay and bonus. The starting hourly pay for this role is USD 19.23 in the lowest geographic market and USD 28.85 in the highest geographic market. The actual hourly pay is dependent upon many factors such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
