Your Impact

As Axon’s Director of Revenue Transformation, you will serve a critical role at the intersection of revenue accounting and systems design and configuration, product development and sales operations. You will join a highly collaborative team partnering cross-functionally with Information Technology, Product Management and Sales organizations to design, implement, integrate, configure and maintain the system necessary to enable timely and accurate revenue recording, reporting and forecasting. What You’ll Do

Location: Remotely from USA

Reports to: VP, Revenue Accounting

  • You will own all RevStream system configuration ensuring proper alignment with the Company’s revenue recognition policies
  • You will plan, coordinate and ensure execution of cross-functional projects that enable timely and accurate revenue recognition
  • You will participate in the product introduction/item master creation and maintenance process to ensure all products and services that are generally available are configured correctly in Revstream to properly recognize revenue systematically
  • You will coordinate with Revenue policy team to understand the proper revenue outcome in order to determine specific system configuration for each product or product family
  • You will support the build out and ownership of dashboards to support broader Accounting, including defining lead and lag indicators for tracking OKRs and KPIs
  • You will support the automation of core tasks through the Accounting organization, including assessment of process improvement and consistency, and application of automation solutions (RPA, Alteryx, etc)
  • You will partner with our Data Enterprise team as we develop our next generation data platforms to support customer and revenue related reporting and decision making
  • You will coordinate with source system admins regarding any integrations or system dependencies in order to enable proper revenue recognition
  • You will will follow appropriate change management controls and policies regarding system configurations
  • You will develop and implement regression testing plans for any system upgrades or updates that can be leveraged for any system change that could impact revenue recognition including repeatable test cases to efficiently evaluate results
  • You will develop and deliver end user training for the general revenue team and other users
  • You will provide first level user support, which includes evaluating any system errors and coordinate with system support as needed
  • You will stay up to date on the RevStream product roadmap in order to identify potential enhancements that improve our effectiveness or efficiency around revenue recognition or provide enhancement requests to the Revstream product team
  • You will evaluate planned upgrades for potential impact and test the system to ensure it will cause no negative impact to Axon
  • You will automate reporting and data extracts from the revenue system in order facilitate financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting
  • You will provide support for reconciliations of system data to general ledger and financial statements
  • You will ensure the integrity and effectiveness of key processes and controls by understanding systems, flow of transactions, internal controls and recommending efficiency and effectiveness improvements
  • You will support our team in handling growing customer and revenue data, including leveraging SQL, robotics and other automation tools to accelerate our procedures and enhance the quality of data we receive and analyze
  • You will support internal and external audit activities, including SOX Compliance
  • You will assist with special projects as assigned
  • You will bring a fresh viewpoint to help identify ways to improve the processes and efficiency as we move through a phase of rapid growth and technology change

What You Bring

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Information Systems, Accounting or related field
  • RevStream or equivalent revenue software experience
  • Minimum ten (10) years of accounting and systems /business analyst experience
  • Solid grasp of software development life-cycle methodologies Agile, Lean, etc.)
  • Experience in executing project management framework
  • Accounting foundation and fundamentals a MUST
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation desirable
  • Experience with a publicly-traded company subject to Sarbanes Oxley Act (SOX) requirements highly desirable
  • Experience with building and/or maintaining ITGC compliant data sources and integrations across multiple systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required for frequent interaction with financial and non-financial management
  • Ability to identify core business use cases and partner with IT, Finance, and Operations to translate to configurable technical requirements
  • Superb attention to detail, strong planning and organization skills, and the ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ/Billing, D365, Snowflake and PowerBI a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL skills
  • Experience with robotics and other process automation solutions
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting
  • Obsessed with quality and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to influence and build consensus

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 126,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 225,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
