We are currently working on Project ETHOS, a new free-to-play, 3rd person rogue-like hero shooter and an exciting evolution on the genre!
What we need:
We are seeking a Senior Audio Software Engineer who thrives in a collaborative and creative environment and is eager to take the lead in advancing cutting-edge audio technology. In this role, you will research, design, implement, and debug innovative audio tools and techniques, all aimed at delivering an industry-leading audio experience. Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the technical design and implementation of audio technologies and tools for current and future projects.
- Optimize interactions between the audio system, build/runtime systems; and the export and build pipeline.
- Ensure seamless integration of the game engine with Wwise audio middleware.
- Collaborate with audio designers to identify bottlenecks and enhance workflows.
- Maintain documentation and stay updated on industry advancements in audio technology.
- Participate in the development of low-level systems such as streaming, serialization, and entity systems.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of programming experience in commercial software, including AAA games.
- Proven track record of shipping AAA titles and developing for multi-platform projects, including game consoles.
- Expertise in C/C++ and multi-threaded programming.
- Strong 3D math skills and knowledge of audio/DSP concepts.
- Ability to research, analyze, and optimize code for performance.
- Capacity to learn new technologies quickly and work independently under deadlines.
Relevant Experience:
- Experience in Unreal Engine.
- Experience with Wwise tools and libraries.
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $98,400 and $160,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
