About this Role
WeWork’s OneSource Tax Solution Architect will work on a cross-functional team across WeWork’s Financial Systems, Accounting, Digital Product, and Operations organizations. This role will focus on delivering indirect tax capabilities that help WeWork weaponize its internal technology to achieve its company mission of revolutionizing the world’s workspaces.

The candidate must have an impeccable ability to rapidly contextualize available features to WeWork’s requirements, and to effectively interpret the difference between what a stakeholder needs compared to what may be initially proposed . Transform business tax requirements and priorities into technical requirements, prototypes, and end-to-end automated solutions
Review key stakeholder input critically and play a leadership role in designing and recommending the best solutions for WeWork’s overall objectives
Deliver new features within OneSource and other tools without supervision
Perform new tax solution, development, QA test work and troubleshoot significant tax related integration issues from new product development
Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify new tax project opportunities
Act as a liaison between Tax, IT and Finance Systems to support all aspects of tax technology projects and established a core competency around tax systems design, integration and reporting initiatives
Willingness to continuously develop tax technical knowledge into new areas to support the tax team compliance and reporting process
Experience / Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related field
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, accounting, business, MIS/CIS or a related discipline
1+ years experience with OneSource, Vertex or other SaaS Tax products
1+ years of OneSource or Vertex Indirect Tax Compliance preferred
Experience scoping, executing and supporting Unit, QA, and UAT test cycles
Excellent knowledge of Financial / Accounting best practices
In-Depth understanding of revenue and billing processes preferred
Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and/or Service Organization Controls (SOC) Compliance Technology Controls preferred
Beneficial to have advanced coding skills for transformation and tax automation process, solid understanding of API Design Methodology and integration experience
Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Must be a skilled communicator and seasoned professional with public speaking experience including written and verbal presentation ability
