Job Summary: 

As the Director of People you will oversee the overall strategic direction, planning, and coordination of the people team and act as a trusted partner to our people managers across the company. This position requires a true strategic people partner who is collaborative and capable of building consensus and commitment toward shared outcomes.  

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead and manage our People team centers of excellence (HR Ops, Recruiting, Workplace Experience, People Programs) for our corporate and manufacturing teams
  • Execute key people programs and processes (e.g., talent management, organizational planning, performance management, development planning, compensation planning)
  • Serve as Ruggable’s HR Business Partner and provide direction, knowledge, and support to create a high-performing organization
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Partner with our central analytics team to measure and report on organizational health, sentiment and feedback
  • Build strong relationships with employees, management, and leadership team

What You’ll Need to Have:


  • 3+ years of experience as a people manager, with an ability to differentiate their management style across varying situations
  • 8+ years of multi-faceted People/HR
  • Ability to take initiative and roll up your sleeves when needed to help concretely deliver on People team initiatives
  • Ability to effectively interface and influence across all levels of an organization
  • Being a quick and nimble learner, while also demonstrating comfort within ambiguity with a bias toward thoughtful action


  • Experience supporting People team efforts within a fast paced environment, preferably at a venture backed startup.


  • $160,000-$175,000 per year
  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
  • Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
