Job Summary: 

Ruggable is looking for a master storyteller, obsessed with all things home and interiors, to implement and own copy and editorial strategy across the Ruggable global brand. This role will be the shepherd of our brand voice across all channels (web, ads, email, blog, social, etc.), managing a small but mighty copywriting team that creates unique, informed, insightful, and inspiring content that grows customer and community engagement.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Own and ensure consistency within the Ruggable brand voice at all touchpoints throughout the customer journey, including website, social, blog, advertising, and email
  • Partner with creative and marketing leadership to concept, craft, and deploy impactful messaging and editorial strategies for integrated 360 marketing initiatives, product launches, and brand and performance marketing campaigns.
  • Develop editorial content strategy for owned brand channels (e.g. blog), manage editorial calendar, and execute content (writing and assigning stories, interviewing partners, supporting the creation of branded video content)
  • Manage both in-house and external copywriters, proofing and copyediting content when needed
  • Partner with global market owners to share best practices, insights, and content stories across international markets (Europe, Australia, etc.), and review localized content to ensure brand consistency of global brand 
  • Research and write engaging, insightful copy that provides a unique point of view on relevant home decor, lifestyle, and product trends and topics
  • Work with vendors and agency partners to support and guide SEO strategy, brand campaign messaging creation, and performance marketing asset creation

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • 7+ years of digital editorial team contributor and management experience, either in-house or at an agency
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience concepting campaign storylines, writing brand hero copy, developing tone of voice guidelines, marketing asset copy and editorial stories for a consumer goods brand 
  • Portfolio of published digital and social-first copy (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.) and experience concepting and building out content franchises 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and excellent copywriting, copyediting, and proofreading skills to maintain our brand's tone of voice 
  • Strong conceptual thinking and strategic analysis with proven ability to translate interiors trends and into persuasive branded copy 
  • Experience implementing and maintaining top SEO and content best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to implement specific brand voice guidelines in both personally written and directed content
  • Ability to analyze data, synthesize findings, strategize optimizations, and report to fellow team members
  • Strong project management skills and keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Slack, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.) and Asana (or similar project management tools)

Preferred:

  • A passion for interior design 
  • Confident presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma/Figjam, and Milanote 
  • Experience building blog content in CMS like Wordpress, Shopify or Contentful
  • Experience writing/editing for home goods brands

Compensation:

  • $100,000 - $125,000 per year base salary
  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
  • Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
