Job Summary:

The Sr. Accountant, Cash and Accounts Receivables will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day cash and accounts receivable application operations and support the Associate Manager and Director of Cash and Accounts Receivable.

 

Job Expectations:

  • Answer and respond to internal and external emails/calls in a timely manner
  • Train and be a resource to team members and new hires
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards in the completion of daily and monthly assignments such as month end closing tasks
  • Work on various accounting related tasks such as cash, debt, accruals and accounts receivable journal entry posting and reconciliations
  • Review and verify accuracy of the work performed by the Staff Accountant, Accounts Receivable or new hires
  • Work with the team and technical resources to identify, research and resolve mis-applied payments, cash application variances, aging inaccuracies, missing orders and any other issues that may arise
  • Contribute and provide weekly and monthly aging reporting to the manager or team leader
  • Assist on the debt deliverables such as monthly Borrowing Base Calculation
  • Clear orders, apply cash to customers and verify payment
  • Proactively research and resolve problems encountered
  • Report and keep manager or team leader up to date on all relevant issues, escalating any issues as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the manager or team leader on identifying issues or problems that might arise for solutions.
  • Perform administrative tasks including maintaining files, coordinating audits, completing special projects, and interacting with internal and external customers.
  • Prepare journal entry posting and bank reconciliations
  • Assist on audits and SOX compliance processes

Required:        

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have a sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and analyze a high volume of accounts receivable activities
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment

 

Equipment Knowledge

  • Experience with SAP preferred 
  • Experience with SQL is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

 

Experience Requirements:                                                     

Generally, requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable is preferred.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics or Business or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. CPA is preferred.

The anticipated pay scale for this position can be found below, however the pay range applicable to you may vary by geographic location based on where the job is located or where you work.  The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.  iHerb, LLC is a multi-state employer and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations.
