Head of Global IT Support Engineers

The Role:

As the Global Head of IT Support you will play a pivotal role in leading a global business unit, helping them to perform to an exceptional level, with a view to building a best in class team. Ultimately, you will have the opportunity to strategise & scale this team with one of the most exciting global brands in the Process & Data Mining domain. Your key tasks will include:

  • Manager & 1st contact person for global internal IT Support Engineers
  • Coordination, planning and scaling the global team of IT Support Engineers in a hyper-growth company
  • Strategic cooperation with the Head of Global IT
  • Responsible to plan, coordinate & realise  the global IT support under consideration of existing SLAs
  • Budget planning
  • Continued optimisation & automation of an hyper-growth IT support environment
  • Report weekly to the Global Head of IT
  • Develop documentation standards/user/project guides for employees and IT support engineers
  • Communication with international team leads to understand, identify and optimise the internal IT support globally

Your past management experiences will cover:

  • Substantial experience managing a team of at least 5 technical staff / specialists
  • Have lead an international IT support environment 
  • Deep understanding of IT support topics in a hyper-growth company
  • Handling the modern workplace and providing suitable solutions to a variety of challenges
  • Full Involvement with professional training programmes

Your technical knowledge should cover:

  • Azure AD 
  • Active Directory 
  • Cloud & Virtualisation  
  • Google GSuite 
  • Solid experience covering administration of Cloud-based ticket systems based on ITIL standards
  • Collaboration Tools: Slack/O365/Zoom
