About the role:
- Lead the Platform Engineering team to architect, design, and build scalable software systems.
- Drive the re-architecture of our enterprise search engine to convert it into a simple, understandable self-serve product.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership in project development, setting technical direction, and ensuring high-quality code.
- Architect and develop solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
The desired profile:
- B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience building scalable software systems.
- Hands-on technical leadership experience leading projects and setting technical direction.
- Extensive background building SaaS applications within a cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
- Very strong data modeling skills & experience building robust backend systems.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, priding yourself on getting things done with a high level of quality.
- Extensive background in algorithms and proficiency in backend first languages (Java, Scala, Python).
- Strong knowledge of web technologies, including details of HTTP, common web frameworks, networking, and web performance engineering.
- Self-motivated & passionate about driving technical excellence and innovation.
- Experience with large-scale data processing (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Solr, MapReduce) is a plus.
