We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to spearhead our Product Innovation team. This role is pivotal in guiding the development of our high-scale, distributed data processing platforms, which are integral to our recommendation and SEO products. These platforms play a critical role in enhancing the digital presence and performance of hundreds of our e-commerce clients.

What you’ll do:

Empowering Engineering Excellence:

  • Lead and mentor: Spearhead the growth and development of the engineering team. Foster continuous learning and skill development to upskill team members and meet evolving project demands.
  • Quality at core: Drive the delivery of high-quality product releases within tight deadlines. Champion both efficiency and effectiveness throughout the development process.
  • Innovation as DNA: Cultivate a culture of engineering excellence. Lead by example, encourage best practices, and champion innovation to stay ahead in the tech landscape.

Building Bridges and Shaping Strategies:

  • Collaboration maestro: Bridge the gap between engineering and other product teams across geographies. Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration to align strategies and goals.
  • Partnership for impact: Work in tandem with Product Management and Business stakeholders. Drive the engineering agenda, setting and prioritizing goals that contribute to broader business objectives.

First 30 Days:

  • Own the Process: Lead by example in operational norms and processes like sprint planning, bug triage, and pager duty setup.
  • Forge Strategic Relationships: Build connections with key leaders across the organization to foster collaboration.

First 90 Days:

  • Diagnose Strengths & Weaknesses: Analyze team dynamics, identify quality issues and performance gaps.
  • Champion Quality Improvement: Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define and implement strategies for enhanced product quality.
  • Empower the Team: Build strong rapport with team members, providing effective guidance on career growth, improvement areas, and development opportunities.
