The Role

We're seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Lead Data Engineer. The role will be responsible for managing a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to development efforts, implement structured processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Build structured processes in the team to help scale by prioritising day-day activities.
  • Be an active contributor and play a key role in leading development.
  • Implement and maintain high security, development and review best practices to abide by all of the company policies and ISO 27001 certification.
  • Work collaboratively with the UK team to manage expectations and delivery deadlines as well as identify improvements to briefing and delivery processes.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.


  • Proven experience in Data Engineering.
  • Experience with Python, SQL and SQL databases.
  • Experience with AWS cloud, ETL, Data Modelling.
  • Experience building and optimising data pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.


  • Understanding of the wider Generative Ai market and developments as they develop to ensure the team are all aware and equipped with the right knowledge to succeed.
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance standards.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD.
  • Experience with working on APIs.
  • Understanding of known tools like Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
