The role 

The Finance Transformation Specialist, you will spearhead the finance transformation initiatives aimed at driving strategic change and process efficiencies across the organization. With your extensive experience and expertise in finance systems, business analytics, and change management, you will lead the formulation and execution of finance strategies, organizational redesign, and process improvements. Your role will be instrumental in integrating financial operations, leveraging technology solutions, and fostering innovation to enhance functional synergies and drive sustainable growth. 

  

Key responsibilities: 

Finance transformation leadership 

  • Develop and formulate finance strategies, organizational designs, and change management activities to drive transformative change in the role of Finance. 
  • Lead the development of a finance systems and technology roadmap to enhance operational efficiency and enable strategic decision-making. 
  • Drive process improvements and develop standard financial controls to streamline operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. 

  

Implementation planning and execution 

  • Develop implementation plans for finance transformation initiatives, ensuring timely execution and effective change management. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PMO and Commercial teams, to deploy engagement plans and activities that facilitate adoption of new ways of working. 
  • Provide regular progress updates to the CFO, Executive, and Board, including the management and development of a progress dashboard. 

  

Stakeholder engagement and relationship management 

  • Work closely with respective divisions to align finance transformation initiatives with business objectives and overcome resistance to change. 
  • Engage with tech and product teams to drive financial transformations and process efficiencies through the implementation of innovative solutions and best practices. 

  

About you 

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role. 

 

  • 8+ years of experience in finance transformation, with a strong background in VBA/SQL, Power BI, and financial modelling. 
  • Proven track record of leading finance transformation projects that have impacted company-wide strategies and operations. 
  • Hands-on experience in building business analytics, data modelling, and financial models to drive strategic decision-making. 
  • Extensive experience collaborating with tech and product teams to implement finance transformations and process efficiencies. 
  • Expertise in change management principles and practices, with the ability to drive real change in organizational re-design and finance/accounting processes. 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, government policies, and legislative requirements relevant to finance operations. 
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus. 

Nice to Have: 

  • Professional certifications in finance, accounting, or change management. 
  • Experience in managing finance system-related initiatives and projects. 
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in finance transformation.
