The Role

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between BC India and various portfolio companies. The SAM is responsible for managing and growing relationships with assigned portfolio companies to achieve long-term success and drive revenue growth. From mining to harvesting, the SAM ensures seamless coordination, strategic account planning, and effective execution of SPANCO (Spanning Account Management and Coordinated Operations) strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with portfolio companies.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between BC India and portfolio companies.
    • Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Strategic Account Planning:
    • Develop and implement strategic account plans for assigned portfolio companies.
    • Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to maximize revenue.
    • Coordinate with internal teams to align strategies and goals with portfolio needs.
  • Portfolio Coordination:
    • Conduct regular meetings and communications with portfolio companies.
    • Ensure seamless coordination and alignment of activities between BC India and portfolio companies.
    • Monitor and report on portfolio performance and key metrics.
  • Mining to Harvesting:
    • Identify potential opportunities within portfolio companies (mining).
    • Develop and nurture opportunities to drive revenue growth (farming).
    • Harvest and capitalize on opportunities to achieve sales targets.
  • SPANCO Implementation:
    • Follow and implement SPANCO (Spanning Account Management and Coordinated Operations) strategies.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and services.
    • Monitor and optimize SPANCO processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management:
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with portfolio companies.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and terms.
    • Manage contract renewals and expansions.
  • Sales and Revenue Growth:
    • Achieve sales targets and growth objectives for assigned portfolio.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts.
    • Collaborate with sales team to drive revenue growth.
  • Client Feedback and Satisfaction:
    • Drive Net promoter score at organisation level across portfolios
    • Gather client feedback and insights to continuously improve products/services.
    • Monitor client satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns proactively.
    • Implement initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results in a fast-moving business and hence be comfortable with change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role.

  • 5+ years of Strategic or Account Management experience or relevant role
  • Minimum 5 years of Client facing experience
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple portfolio companies simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Business Tools and strong presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
