The Performance Marketing Manager role is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity for a results-driven marketing professional with consumer acquisition experience, ideally in financial services, to help bring Zip’s growth strategy to life.
We are looking to scale our acquisition channels, experiment with new channels and tactics, bring more prospective customers to the top of our acquisition funnel, and ultimately find a pathway to repeatable, sustainable growth. A significant portion of the role will include maintenance and optimisation of paid channels, SEM and SEO, running campaigns end-to-end, and working cross-functionally to leverage data and insights to identify and prioritise growth opportunities and lead generation.

The initial focus of the role will be heavily weighted towards acquisition and will extend to customer retention and revenue optimisation later on. This is an unique opportunity for a marketer to drive growth across the full marketing funnel and across a range of marketing channels.
Interesting problems you’ll get to solve
- Own, manage and optimise our existing channels (Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO and SEM) and test / build new channels to drive growth.
- End-to-end ownership of acquisition-focused campaigns from strategy, concept, delivery, budget management, and performance reporting.
- Drive continuous improvements in messaging, creative, and channel to increase conversion. Be holistic in approach to ensure users see a consistent narrative from creative to the landing page and through the acquisition funnel.
- Analyse, monitor and report on campaign performance. Identify trends and manage budget allocations to optimise to drive improvements in CAC and/or number of acquisitions; react to deviations from plans quickly and strategically.
- Conceive and execute innovative experiments and campaigns; deliver and apply data-driven, analytically rigorous insights and recommendations to enhance performance
- Work closely with our Web Team to build and deploy Zip’s SEO strategy to drive organic web traffic.
- Collaborate with Product, Data and the wider Marketing team to create, prioritise and execute growth experiments to optimise for marketing spend and conversion, and down the track revenue generation opportunities. This role will need to be able to work across the organisation to drive results.
What you’ll bring to the team
- 5+ years in performance marketing, with a proven track record of success in customer acquisition.
- Experience in driving growth through digital, affiliate and social channels.
- Strong quantitative analytical skills and keen eye for metrics. You will be comfortable working with raw data, self servicing from various systems.
- Ability to think high-level and craft long-term strategies, but also get your hands dirty to execute and optimise campaigns on a day-to-day basis.
- Demonstrated experience working within a test and learn environment; solid understanding of how to design and implement testing frameworks, report on results, optimise and iterate.
- Previous experience in Fin-tech, Financial Services and/or App-based company preferred, not essential.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to proactively anticipate business needs and areas of opportunity and experience consulting with and advising key business stakeholders (including senior leaders).
- Previous experience in managing a dedicated budget and proactively updating stakeholders on tracking and performance to target.
